F-5 Fest Project for Join Hands Day

DINNER--- MOVIE---REFLECTIVE ICE CREAM SOBREMESA

MAY 2, JOIN HANDS EVENING, 7:30 PM, QUAIL SPRINGS  20 people MD and UD students, parents and teachers attended!

Join hands with Assistant Chaplain Father Tim Youmans, 6th grader, Rachel Christi,  CASADY YAC F-5 Fest Project (Service Action Council Project ), and RunHers Women's Association, TAKING STEPS BUSTING COMMUNITY NEEDS    

DINNER: Have a Johnnie's dinner with family and friends at a convenient time for your schedule. Say Casady YAC when ordering your meal on any Thursday in the month of April and May.  Johnnies will donate a percentage of the sales to Casady YAC F-5 Fest fundraising to honor Bennett, an infant Cyclone battling Pearson's Syndrome.  The Bob Stoops Champions Foundation https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bob-Stoops-Champions-Foundation/114155395314738?id=114155395314738&sk=info will match what YAC's F-5 Fest events fundraise.  In the month of April we collected $275.00


GIRL RISING SCREENING:
Join hands with Assistant Chaplain Father Tim Youmans and 6th grade Casady student, Rachel Christi who believes, "Girl Rising is an AWESOME MOVIE everyone should see", Casady YAC F-5 Fest Project and RunHers Women's Association.  

To attend the RunHers Women's Association screening of Girl Rising purchase $ 10 tickets online ASAP at @ http://gathr.us/screening/2350). 

The movie is the centerpiece of 10x10 – a global campaign to educate and empower girls. A portion of Girl Rising ticket sales go to support girls’ programs around the world through the 10x10 Fund for Girls’ Education. The Fund goes to 10x10’s high-impact network of non-profit partners and leaders in girls’ education: A New Day Cambodia, CARE, Girl Up/United Nations Foundation, Partners in Health, Plan International USA, Room to Read, UNICEF, and World Vision.

Sheila Kidder of runhers states, “runhers believe(s) in the power of education to change not only a girl, but the world.  By bringing Girl Rising to Oklahoma City we are showing our community a beautiful film that demonstrates the impact education can have on girls’ lives around the globe. Together we can be part of a revolution that gets girls into a more positive, and life changing educational climate.”

SCREENINGS OF GIRL RISING SCHEDULE ON MAY 9TH AND MAY 23 @ 7:30 @ Quail Springs Theatre did not make it.  There is a screening at Crossroads on May 30th @ Crossroads Theater.  Purchase tickets now online at  http://gathr.us/.  100 people minimum for the screening to tip.
